Come enjoy a stay at this completely renovated and tastefully decorated home on a quiet country road. The kitchen has new appliances and granite countertops and is well stocked and waiting for you. There is a new bathroom and deck as well as refinished hardwood floors. The very private backyard includes a gas grill on the deck along with a table that seats four. A few steps away is a gas fire pit with seating as well as a large front yard to enjoy. The house is easily accessible with a flat driveway and only one step up to get into the front door from the sidewalk. There are two bedrooms with room darkening shades. One bedroom has a king bed and the other one has two extra long twins. All bedding including blankets and quilts are washed before each guest. Enjoy the fast internet and a smart tv in the living room. We are 3 ½ miles from the Bedford Visitor’s Center and the D-Day Memorial and convenient to Smith Mountain Lake, Lynchburg, Roanoke and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Solitude at Homeward Farm

Solitude at Homeward Farm was built in the early 1960’s. Solitude is located approximately 10 minutes from downtown Bedford, VA and is very easy to get to from Roanoke, Lynchburg and surrounding communities. Solitude is a 2 bedroom/2-bathroom cabin with views of the Peaks of Otter and surrounding mountains and valleys. Solitude has laundry, walk around fireplace and the original wood burning stove in the kitchen (although it is no longer being used). There is an electric stove in the kitchen, along with a microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig coffee maker. Each bedroom and a gas heater, for those cold nights. We provide a map of the walking trails that provide views of the surrounding valleys and wildlife. You will more than likely see deer in the yard as well as squirrels, birds and other wildlife. Adequate parking is available, even for large trucks (3/4 ton and 1 ton variety).
